How to be reassessed for Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) coverage..

Aids to Daily Living coverage may pay for some or all of your medical products such as Ostomy, Incontinence, and/or Urology. To maintain coverage, your medical needs will need to be reassessed by a Nurse Authorizer.

With the healthcare shortage and delays, reassessment can take up to 6 months to get approved. If your authorization expires within that time frame, you will be required to pay out of pocket for all your medical supplies or go without. We encourage our clients to reach out as soon as possible to avoid any lapses in coverage.

To begin the renewal process, please call:

  • In Edmonton 780-496-1300
  • Outside Edmonton 811
  • Your Nurse Authorizer

You will need your Personal Healthcare Number (PHN) & Date of Birth and a list of what products you currently have covered by the AADL program.

For more information or if you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact one of our Client Coordinators at 888-421-0488
