Intermittent Catheter Increase Eligibility

Intermittent Catheter Increase Eligibility

Effectively immediately, the AADL Program may now cover up to 240 intermittent (in and out) catheters every two months for eligible clients only, without the need of a QFR (quantity frequency review form).

Currently, most clients are authorized for 70 catheters every two months. An AADL Approved Nurse Authorizer can authorize up to 240 intermittent catheters if the client requires them.

To discuss your eligibility, contact your nurse authorizer or contact the Community Care Access Line at 780-496-1300. If you are outside of the Edmonton area, dial 811 and request your local Community Care Access Line.

Re-assessment may take several months due to wait times.
