What is urinary incontinence? 

There are many misconceptions about urinary incontinence (UI). Get all the facts surrounding the lack of bladder control.

The unintentional loss of urine, or urinary incontience, occurs when weakening of the muscle that holds the neck of the bladder closed can no longer keep urine in the bladder. 

Some facts about UI

There are more than two million men currently suffering from urinary incontinence.

  • UI can be caused when the bladder muscles are not functioning correctly, or when the bladder itself is unable to empty regularly.
  • Urinary incontinence in men is frequently connected with medical problems or conditions such as enlarged prostate or cancer.
